A nine week online workshop series starting on Saturday the 31st of January 2026 and running until Saturday the 11th of April 2026.
A set of nine tailoring workshops, covering Coat Drafting, Toiling and Fitting techniques.
Including four hours dedicated to receiving feedback on your project, plus Q&A.
Eighteen hours worth of interactive tailoring content, plus reference materials.
All sessions are recorded and are available to watch and re-watch after the live sessions have taken place.
Suitable for all levels, from those who want to add to their existing skills to beginners.

Workshop One: An Introduction Into Coat Drafting

Course Introduction and welcomes.
How to take measures. What are figurations? What is the scaled system?
Starting work on our draft- the front, back and side body.
Workshop Two: Coat Drafting
Saturday the 7th of February 2026 (10:30am-12:30pm GMT)
Completing our front, back and side body drafts to our own measures.
Stylising our draft and checking our measures.
Where is seam allowance included within the pattern?
Workshop Three: Coat Toiling
Saturday the 14th of February 2026 (10:30am-12:30pm GMT)
Learn from others queries- a Q&A regarding front, back and side body drafts.
Trace off our front, back and side body patterns; we now have two copies, the master and a working pattern.
Move onto toiling. Strike out our pattern onto calico and add in inlays. Cut out the calico and mark stitch.
Workshop Four: Coat Toiling

Sewing up the toile, adding in shoulder pads.
How to make up an under collar and apply an under collar to the toile.
Workshop Five: Coat Fitting

Fittings- Analysing the fit of my own toile from photos and from the finished toile.
Learn from others, a group share- Analysing the fit of others toiles from photos and from finished toiles.

Drafting sleeves- top sleeves and undersleeves.
Workshop Eight: Sleeve Toiling
Saturday the 4th of April 2026 (10:30am-12:30pm GMT)
Toiling left sleeve.
Striking out the sleeve pattern onto calico and adding in inlays.
Cutting out the calico sleeve and mark stitching.
Making up the sleeve and inserting it into the armhole.
Discussing the fit of the sleeve and potential changes.
Workshop Nine: Feedback Session- Sleeve Fitting
Saturday the 11th of April 2026 (10:30am-12:30pm GMT)
Sleeve Fittings- Analysing the fit of others toiles with a focus on sleeves, from photos and from finished toiles.
Analysing photos and finished toiles, plus a Q&A session.
Final Notes:
Suitable for all levels, from those who want to add to their existing skills to beginners.
Recordings are available to rewatch for a period of two years.
The drafting method used within this workshop set, works for both female and male figures.
