ONE TO ONE TUITION

Laura offers one to one tuition, both in person from her home studio based in Balham, South London and virtually via Zoom. 

Sessions typically occur once a week at a regular time slot and last for a period of three hours.

This time can be spent working on a project or area of your choice. It is recommended to work either on a making project, for example how to make up a Savile Row bespoke jacket from a block pattern or to combine a cutting and making project, by going through the process of taking your measures, drafting a pattern to your size, toiling, fitting and then making up a Savile Row bespoke jacket to fit yourself or another.

The sessions are relaxed and move at your own working pace. Students can either learn about a specific area of tailoring by completing a one off session or go through the whole process of cutting through to making, from start to finish, over a longer period of time. The length of time it takes to complete a project varies from person to person; current skill level, the project that is chosen and how much work is completed independently, all contribute to how quickly a project can be completed.

One to one sessions are suitable for all skill levels from beginners to sewing to professionals.

One to one sessions are priced at £75 per hour.
