'TAILORED SKILLS' TROUSER DRAFTING, TOILING AND FITTING WORKSHOP SERIES- RECORDINGS
A set of three tailoring workshops, covering Trouser Drafting, Toiling and Fitting techniques.
Five and a half hours worth of interactive tailoring content, plus reference materials.

Included Workshops:
Workshop One: Trouser Drafting
Course Introduction and welcomes.
How to take measures. What are figurations? What is the scaled system?
Working on and completing our trouser draft to our own measures.
Tracing off the topside and underside of the trouser; we now have two copies, the master and a working pattern.
Stylising our drafts to include two front pleats.
Workshop Two: Trouser Toiling
Toiling; striking out our pattern onto calico/poly wool and adding in inlays. Cutting out the calico/poly wool and mark stitching.
An explanation of where seam allowance is included within the pattern.
Sewing up a simple trouser toile/shell, so we are now ready for a first fitting.
Workshop Three: Trouser Fittings and Q&A
Fittings- Analysing the fit of my own trouser toile from photos and from the finished toile.
Learn from others, fittings- Analysing the fit of others toiles from photos and from finished toiles.
Learn from others, a Q&A session and feedback on toiles, fittings and work completed so far.
Final Notes:
Suitable for all levels, from those who want to add to their existing skills to beginners.
Recordings are available to rewatch for a period of two years.
The drafting method used within this workshop set, works for both female and male figures.
